The calculator gives estimates for healthy cats, based on published veterinary nutrition formulas. It is for general information only and is not medical or veterinary advice. It does not create a veterinarian-client relationship.
Kittens, pregnant or nursing cats, and senior cats may need an individual plan. The same goes for cats with kidney, thyroid, diabetes, digestive, or urinary problems. Cats with a body condition score of 7 out of 9 or higher should lose weight under a vet’s care. Talk to your veterinarian before you change a diet. Call right away if your cat stops eating, vomits more than once, or seems unwell.
Accuracy
We work to keep the calculator and its information correct, but we cannot promise that every result fits your cat. Results depend on the information you enter, and real needs vary from cat to cat.
